Two Long Cards - Congrats & Celebrate

Hydrangeas are one of my favorites and I can't wait to see them bloom this summer....till then I'm quite happy to make cards with Hydrangeas stamps....the cards I'm sharing today are 4"x7&1/4" and were the perfect size to fill up with a lot of flower images...especially the Garden Hydrangeas stamps because usually I'm only able to add no more than two of those images in a standard size card...

I used a textured purple cardstock to create the card base for my first card....I the cut watercolour cardstock to size for the front panel and stamped the Hydrangea flowers and leaves using Versamark ink and heat embossed them using some white embossing powder....

I painted them in with my watercolour pens and a waterbrush using blue and purple shades as these are the colours of the Hydrangeas that grow in my home... once the panel was dry,I adhered it to the card base...

I die cut the word 'congrats' from purple glitter cardstock as well as purple craft foam and layered them together before adhering them to the card front...but before I did that I stamped the rest of the sentiment using purple dye ink..

I also adhered a scalloped border at the base of my card which I die cut from the same purple glitter cardstock as the sentiment...I added a few clear Nuvo drops to embellish my card...

I will be entering this card in the latest Flower Challenge #13 who are currently celebrating their 1st birthday...the prizes are amazing for this challenge and prizes 1,4,5 or 6 would be my choice if I am lucky enough to win..

For my second card I chose a dark pink textured cardstock to create the card base and a smaller front panel from white cardstock...

I used the Beautiful Day layering stamp set from Altenew and covered the front panel with the images by masking and re-stamping the same flowers..I used Altenew crisp dye inks for stamping these images...for the flowers I have used cotton candy, coral berry and purple wine shades and for the leaves and other smaller images I simply coloured them in using my alcohol markers...

For the sentiment,I die cut the word celebrate 3 times from the same cardstock as the card base and layered them up before adhering it to the card front...I then applied some glossy accents on top of this die cut for a bit of shine...and finally I added rhinestones in various sizes to embellish my card...
