Split Colouring - 1 design 2 cards

How fun it was to create two cards with the same design and yet different from each other...I have followed a tutorial for split coloring by Jennifer McGuire to create the cards that I'm sharing with you today...although I do wish I had used two different colours instead of the all white card front...ah well,I'll do that next time...

I started by stamping the flowers and a flowery border on two white card front panels with Versafine onyx black ink...I then heat embossed them using a super fine pearl embossing powder...I liked how the embossing softened the black and makes it look a greyish shade...

I left one panel as is and coloured in the second panel using bright shades of Gansai Tambi watercolours...once this panel was dry,I held both the panels together and using my trimmer I cut both into three sections and swapped the middle section of the panels....I did not measure or anything since I started with the same size panels and using my Misti made sure they were stamped exactly alike..

I stamped the same sentiment on both cards but used black ink for one and blue for the other and then adhered these panels to the cards front of both cards...I also added a very thin strip of black glitter cardstock at the top..and finally, I have added a few black sequins to embellish these cards...

Thank you for your visit today...I'm glad you stopped by my blog...Have a wonderful day ahead...!!
